A brief history:
- Established in 1983 by John H Brauteseth, Brauteseth Blasting originated as a civil blasting company catering to the construction industry in KZN. In 1989, swiftly evolving, the company soon diversified into the commercial quarry market with Clive Brauteseth steering the company through a trajectory of growth and success.
- A significant milestone was achieved in 2009 when Brauteseth Blasting was awarded the rock-on-ground (ROG) contract for Tendele Colliery. This accomplishment served as a catalyst for the company's entry into large-scale mining operations.
- Since then, Brauteseth Blasting has left an indelible mark across Southern Africa, focusing on key regions in South Africa such as KwaZulu Natal, Eastern and Northern Cape, Mpumalanga, and Limpopo, as well as the Copperbelt region of Zambia. A renewed emphasis on expansion into Southern and Central Africa underscores the company's commitment to regional growth.
